One week old

I took Amaiya to the doctors yesterday and they did her one week check up.
No jaundice thank goodness! I couldn't believe it at all when the weighed her and did her height. She gained 6oz.'s and grew a whole inch in just those few days!
She'll go back for her 2 months on December 22nd! I can't wait to see how big she'll be then! But for now I'm loving how small she is! My last baby so I'm going to soak up every little thing I can!

Amaiya Julianna McCormick

On October 16Th, 2008 at 3:30p.m. our daughter Amaiya Julianna entered this world.

I had a doctor's appointment at 10:30 that morning and went in the room with the doctor, he checked me and said "Are you ready to have this baby?". My heart dropped. I got so excited and scared at the same time that I didn't know what to say. I immediately started to call Chad, my parents and Grandma. I was scared cause I was up there alone. But, I knew I didn't have to worry cause Chad and my wonderful Grandma were there in a blink of an eye.

I got into the room and they hooked me up to all the wonderful (most annoying crap) things they needed. They started the meds to make my contractions stronger and then at 2:30p.m. he came in and checked me after I got my upidural and broke my water (at this time I was dilated to 7). Dr. Chatelain said he would be back in 40 to 45 mins to check on me again so I waited. I didn't have to wait long cause 10 mins later he was back in the room. He check me and said those same words "Are you ready to have this baby?" cause I was dilated to 9! I was like HOLY CRAP, that didn't take long! So I started to push at 3pm. Chad was on my left and my sister Emily was on my right, this was the first time for both of them to see a baby being born. Mom and Grandma (who finally got to be in the room with me) were watching as I pushed our beautiful daughter out into this world.

She weighs 6lbs. 11ozs. and is 19 inches long. She's a spitting image of me (at least I think so) but, has a head full of beautiful brown hair like Chad. Amaiya is an amazing baby. She only crys when she is hungry or when she's getting her diaper changed. She's in love with her daddy! Big time Daddy's girl already! And Chad is so amazing with her. He's all about his baby girl!

37 weeks

I can't believe I've made it this far into my pregnancy. I'm experiencing things I've never had before, swollen legs and feet, crying spells (guess you can say hormonal), just want to sleep all day. I'm so glad that I've gone this far. I can't wait to hold my new little girl in my arms.
I maybe excited to see her but, I'm looking forward to seeing the look on Natie and Nate faces when they see her. I remember when Natalie seen Nathaniel for the first time. I'm so glad I got a picture of it! I'm so worried that Nathaniel is going to have a hard time when she is here. Only because he's been Mommy's "baby" for 3 years. I know Natalie is going to be just fine. She's a mother hen in a little bitty body. She loves babies and is so excited to be able to help me with her. Every time I have to go to the doctors I tell her before I drop her off at school that I have an appointment to check up on "YaYa'' (that's the kids nickname for Amaiya). When I go to pick her up from school, the first thing she says to me when she gets in the car is "how is my baby?". I think its so funny that my little girl is such a wonderful caring person already for being so young.
Nathaniel is always rubbing my belly and singing to her. So, I know that he's going to be the one to try to calm her down with singing his ABC's, Mary had a Little Lamb, You are My Sunshine or Papaw's munchkin bunchkin song.
I'm so ready for her to be here. I only have 23 days left until I'm full term. I don't know why it scares me so much to think I can actually carry her to term. I guess it because I never have before and also the weight issue. I'm totally scared to deliver a baby more than 7 pounds. I'm getting anxious every passing day that she is still inside of me.

I went to the doctors today and he said she is doing great. I've gained 3 pounds in a week so he's worried about that plus my swelling. He said he's expecting me to come in the weekend or by this week. I go back thursday if nothing happens. I told him I can't have her on thursday cause that's my cousin's birthday and that day is already taken. lol.

Well, lets see what happens. Hopefully she will be here sooner than later!

Pumpkin Patch

I love how I can spend my birthday watching my children have so much fun. We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday. We walked through the 8 acre corn maze (yes, I'm still pregnant), walked through the sunflower gardens, pet the goats, sheep and a really fat pig. They went on a hay ride with Papaw, Aunt Di, Christian, Grandma and Flynn. I'm just glad my babies had so much fun. They picked out their own pumpkins before we left. Now I just have to figure out how to carve it! lol. We're doing that tonight!

Pumpkin Patch

I'm taking the kids to the pumpkin patch tomorrow. It's funny cause tomorrow is my 23 birthday and all I want to do is see my children have fun. Most women would get a sitter and enjoy the day to themselves. This would be Nate's first time going to the pumpkin patch. I'm hoping the weather is cool and all the walking doesn't put me into labor. That's my biggest worry.
But, I'll have pictures up tomorrow of the pumkin patch!

Doodle time and Paper costumes

Nathaniel has his Spider man Journal that he got from Aunt Betty & Uncle John and everyday he sits down and doodles a new drawing in it. I love it. When he fills it up I'm going to put it away so that when he is older he can look back at all he's drawings from when he was small.
Natalie is addicted to her Cd player and is constantly coloring or practicing her writing. My children are so creative. The other day they got out the glue and tore up ALOT of construction paper and glued them on each other, faces to toes. They said they were making their Halloween costumes. I wish I would of gotten a picture of it cause it was hilarious! They loved making their "paper costumes" but, they didn't like it when it all had to come off! Peeling it off hurt to bad so I spent 30 min. clean my tub taking all the wet paper out of it. But, in the end it was worth it cause they had fun and enjoyed themselves!
I just hope they don't try to give Amaiya a ''paper costume" for halloween! lol...

Natalie and her beautiful singing!!

After Natalie got done doing her homework she got out the coloring book and her cd player and started singing. I loved this video so much I wanted to share it with ya'll. I can't believe my baby girl is now 5 and a big sister of 2 siblings. It's crazy how fast time flys by. I'm trying to enjoy every waking moment cause next thing I know they will be 18 and leaving Mommy for college!

:'( sad thought....

But, here is Natalie singing "Best of Both Worlds" by her favorite singer every (as she says) Hannah Montana.
